In Canada, all distances and speed limits are in kilometers;
To calculate miles from kilometers, just divide km by 1.7;
Turining right on red traffic lights is not allowed in certain areas and is forbidden throughout the island of Montreal;
Use of seatbelts in Quebec is required by law.

Most street signs in Quebec are in French - Nord (North), Est (East), Sud (South), Ouest (West). |
From Montreal:
From the (Pont) Champlain Bridge, go East on the Eastern Townships Autoroute (Hwy 10) for 140 kilometers until you come to exit 140. (Note: each exit is numbered by the distance in kilometers from Montreal; i.e., Exit 55 is 55 kilometers from Montreal). Exit Autoroute 10 at Exit 140 and travel on Autoroute 410 until Exit 2 (Portland Blvd). This is the first exit off of Autoroute 410. At stop sign, turn right on Industrial Blvd. Then turn left on Garlock Street (first street). M5T is the first building to your left after crossing Pepin Street.
You will need between 2 hours to 2 ½ hours to go from Montreal to M5T depending on the traffic conditions. In heavy traffic (morning and end of the day), this could even take 3 hours.
Time required: approximately 2 hours in good traffic conditions. Allow for extra time if traveling through Montreal during peak rush hour periods (between 7:30 – 9:00 am or between 4:30 to 6:30 pm).
From Dorval Airport:
Exit the airport parking area following directions for Autoroute (Highway) 20 East. Go around the circle and head East on Highway 20. Stay in the middle lane as you go around the circle, this will facilitate entering onto to Highway 20. Follow the signs for (Pont) Champlain Bridge. This will put you on Decarie Expressway (Autoroute 15) South. Continue toward and cross the Champlain Bridge. This now becomes Autoroute 10, which is the Eastern Townships Autoroute. Go straight on Autoroute 10 for 140 kilometers until you come to Exit 140.
