Serge Hamel, P.Eng, M.Sc. is responsible for managing the development team of the M5T Division. He is responsible of ensuring efficiency and quality delivery of software development with respect to the delivery dates. He must ensure a proper development process among his team and work toward continuous improvement, including adequate development environments and tools, process and tutoring. He must identify the problems that decrease his team’s efficiency and solve them.
During his career, Mr. Hamel acquired his renown firstly as software developer, then by acting as team leader and finally progressing as Development Director, research and development group, for multiple companies.
His skills are acknowledged and appreciated for embedded products development, real-time products development, telecommunication systems and overall systems engineering.
Mr. Hamel acquired his Engineering degree from École Polytechnique de Montréal (1982) followed by a Master’s degree from the Université de Sherbrooke (1990).
