The M5T MGCP - MG component is a flexible, RFC 3435 based C++ MGCP stack for building Media Gateway type of applications. In addition, a full featured seamlessly integrated SDP module is provided as part of the solution.

M5T MGCP - MG includes a fully functional MGCP parser and a complete state machine that handles transparently the piggy-backing of messages, embedded request events, keep-alive mechanism, complete failover mechanism and the complex quarantine buffer.

Key Features of the M5T MGCP - MG
MGCP commands:
Supports parsing and generation of MGCP commands Restart In Progress, Notify, Notification Requests, Create Connection, Modify Connection, Audit Connection, Delete Connection and Audit Endpoint.
NCS profile:
Support for the PacketCable™ NCS MGCP profile is integrated and selectable through configuration.
SDP Parser/Caps Manager:
Includes a full featured RFC 2327 SDP parser and capabilities manager for management of media sessions parameters.
MGCP Packages:
Includes support for the following packages

Implements an application programming interface (API) for package integration. This allows simple integration of the packages that are required for a specific type of gateway.
Piggy-backing:
Supports piggy-backing for sending and receiving messages.
Embedded request events
Keep-alive mechanism
Failover mechanism
Quarantine list:
Handles a quarantine buffer in order to avoid race conditions between requested events and signal events. The quarantine list also provides the functionality for the notifications to operate in loop mode, as well as in lockstep mode.
Telephony services:
Supports standard and advance telephony services such as call waiting, call forwarding, call transfer, conference calling, and more.
Operating system, network and platform independent:
Interfaces of the stack enable the user to use his own abstraction layer or M5T`s Framework for reduced integration time.
Reliability:
Supports failover through DNS and reliable message delivery.
Backward compatibility:
Supports the older RFC 2705 version of MGCP protocol.
Media transport:
When integrated with other M5T products such as M5T RTP SAFE
